Individualized Assistance

Bereaved people need and deserve individualized assistance that is meaningful to them. Personal Grief Coaching supports people by treating them as unique individuals and helping them identify their needs and discover how to get those needs met. This method is related to Carl Rogers' person-centered approach, about which he said "the individual has within him or herself vast resources for self-understanding, for altering the self-concept, basic attitudes, and his or her self-directed behaviour" (p. 1).
